Motability is a UK national registered charity that helps disabled people and their families to become mobile. It enables them to use their Government funded disability allowances to lease or buy a car.

Motability has provided over 1.3 million vehicles and powered wheelchairs to disabled people and the scheme currently represents 7% of all new car sales in the UK.

Daihatsu are very pleased to be an Approved Supplier and supporter of Motability. We have a dedicated dealer network, with a large number of accredited motability suppliers, each of which has to meet a stringent set of standards to qualify.

There are various ways in which to obtain a vehicle on the Daihatsu motability scheme and these include:

The Motability Contract Hire Scheme which is available over a three year period on selected models. You have to give up part, or all, of your allowance, and pay Advance Payment, where applicable. All maintenance and servicing, comprehensive insurance and full breakdown assistance for the vehicle, provided by RAC are included in the agreement.

You may prefer to purchase your vehicle under a Hire Purchase agreement. You can select a hire purchase option over 4 or 5 years using the Motability Hire Purchase Scheme for New Vehicles, or a 2 or 3 year option for a Used Vehicle. Special rates of finance and special discounts are available from Motability Finance Ltd, depending on the model you choose.
