Smart Nav (Navigation system)
Please read Terms and conditions (important information) PDF Document. At the push of a button, the Smartnav user is connected to a Personal Assistant (PA) in the Smartnav control Centre. The PA enters the customers required destination using the latest digital mapping information. This takes into account current traffic conditions, as monitored by the Trafficmaster network of sensors. The route is downloaded into the vehicle and the user is provided with clear turn-by-turn audio instructions to their destination. Throughout the journey, the Smartnav central computer continuously checks the traffic conditions that may affect the route and should conditions change, Smartnav lets the user know how long they are likely to be delayed and will offer a quicker alternative route if one is available. The system also has an optional feature called Smartnav Safe Speed, only activated with a valid subscription. The Smartnav Safe Speed option alerts the user to fixed cameras, variable speed cameras and multi-camera sites (also known as Specs). The system will help you drive in accordance with the speed limits defined by the Highway Code by warning the user as the camera site approaches. Smartnav is easy to use; no more time spent keying-in destinations - just press the button and talk to a PA. In an emergency the PA will also help contact the emergency services and/or the users breakdown provider and/or give directions to the nearest cash machine or petrol station. For a small booking fee users can order flowers, chocolates or wine for delivery to someone special or even book a hotel room. Part No. DACC3700 Available for the following year(s) : 2003MY onward
